High Capacity 60A, Solar MC4 connectors suitable for 10 sq mm cable- male & Female pair
These connectors are suitable for crimping on to 10 sq mm cables.
Current carrying capacity of 60 Amperes.
The usual MC4 is suitable for 4 sq mm.
When multiple panel output solar energy is combined, current capacity needs to be high which will generate too much heat for 4 sq mm. Sometimes This will melt the MC4 causing damage.
10 sq mm wires and connectors will be suitable for current above 30A from the panels. These MC4 connectors are ideal for connecting to 10 sq mm solar wires.
They have a higher current carrying capacity up to 60 Amp.

1. How to connect connectors?
The wire needs to be crimped at the ends provided for the purpose, and then it clicks into its place. Then the threaded back cover to be put on. This gives a weatherproof joint. The male to the female connector is a click on the type of simple assembly.
2. Can I use a crimping tool used for usual MC4, for crimping this?
No. You will need a crimping tool suitable for High capacity MC4 crimping. ie; suitable for 10 sq mm wire.
3. What is the current-carrying capacity or the ampacity of these mc4 connectors?
60 AMPS
4. Is this suitable for 4 and 6 sq mm wire?
No. For 4 and 6 sq mm wire, you will need 30A MC4. This is suitable for 10 sq mm wires.
